About the job
Secure Every Identity, from AI to Human
Identity is the key to unlocking the potential of AI. Okta secures AI by building the trusted, neutral infrastructure that enables organizations to safely embrace this new era. This work requires a relentless drive to solve complex challenges with real-world stakes. We are looking for builders and owners who operate with speed and urgency and execute with excellence.
This is an opportunity to do career-defining work. We're all in on this mission. If you are too, let's talk.
Okta authenticates, authorizes, and provisions millions of users a day. Internally, TDI Infrastructure Engineering runs the platforms that our own engineering and business teams build on — hosted on AWS, increasingly Kubernetes-native, and expanding fast to support AI-driven internal workflows. We're looking for a Staff SRE to help us evolve Site Reliability Engineering from a traditional operations model into a true Platform as a Service (PaaS) organization.
As a Staff Site Reliability Engineer on our Bengaluru/India team, you will be the senior-most technical voice on the ground — setting architectural direction for our Kubernetes platform, driving the hardest reliability and scaling problems to resolution, and partnering with Staff/Principal engineers on our US and India teams to keep our global platform strategy coherent. You'll report to the Manager, Site Reliability Engineering, and work closely with the rest of the India SRE team, as well as global SRE peers.
