Job requirements
Experience Range: With at least 4 years of hands-on Java backend development experience, including 2 years specifically working with microservices architecture Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design and implementation of scalable, high-performance backend services using Java and Spring Boot
Guide and mentor team members in developing, unit testing, and deploying robust microservices
Analyze user requirements to define system business objectives and application functionality
Write well-designed, testable code adhering to industry standards and best practices
Troubleshoot production and environmental issues, collaborating with QA, application support, and business stakeholders
Prepare and produce releases of software components, managing CI/CD pipelines for efficient deployment
Conduct software analysis, programming, testing, and debugging to ensure quality and performance
Champion agile development methodologies, actively participating in grooming user stories and sprint planning
Required Skills:
Advanced proficiency in Java
Strong experience with Spring Boot
Expertise in designing and implementing microservices
Hands-on experience with SQL databases such as Oracle RDBMS and MySQL
Proficient in CI/CD tools including Jenkins and Maven
Version control using Bitbucket and Gitlab
Experience with Docker for containerization
Developing RESTful web APIs with Spring REST
Solid understanding of Hibernate for ORM
Preferred Skills:
Experience with Kafka for event-driven architectures
Experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
Knowledge of advanced monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, ELK stack)
Experience optimizing backend performance and scalability
Understanding of security best practices for backend systems
Desired Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related discipline
Oracle Certified Professional: Java SE certification or equivalent
Pivotal Certified Spring Professional or certification in microservices architecture
