About the job

Key Responsibilities

Network Management for Datacenter & Locations (Campus, Branch Office, Yards, etc.)

Lead transformation and implementation projects for various L&T businesses with a strong focus on Datacenter Networking, including Cisco ACI, Routing, Switching, and Wi-Fi technologies.

Ensure a robust and scalable WAN, LAN, P2P, and Link infrastructure to support the diverse needs of L&T’s businesses.

Collaborate with multiple IT operations and business teams to ensure SLA/OLA commitments are met and consistently exceed customer expectations.

Identify and implement optimized, cost-effective solutions to meet business requirements while managing network procurement for the Corporate Datacenter.

Lead and mentor a team of networking professionals in a dynamic environment, ensuring timely resolution of issues and continuous improvement in service delivery.

ISP Management

Drive governance and performance management across multiple ISP partners to ensure a robust and reliable link infrastructure with adherence to SLAs.

Innovate to maximize the value of investments in ISP services and optimize the cost of doing business.

Ensure accurate invoicing from ISP partners and explore opportunities to automate billing processes for efficiency.

2.2 Network Security

Champion the ‘Secure by Design’ principle by ensuring all network implementations conform to security guidelines and leverage innovative, out-of-the-box solutions.

2.2.1 Act as a bridge between Operations and Security teams to ensure security is embedded in every aspect of IT systems.

Drive governance across technical and business teams to ensure optimized utilization of Datacenter equipment.

Enforce strict adherence to hardening guidelines, review SOPs and architectures, and identify opportunities for improved security and performance.

Serve as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) between the Operations Team and Internal/External Auditors, ensuring timely closure of audit observations.

2.3 Datacenter Operations

2.3.1 Oversee the operations of Corporate Datacenters across critical locations, ensuring 24x7 availability and reliability.

2.3.2 Innovate to ensure sustainable Datacenter operations while adhering to Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) norms.

2.3.3 Ensure the physical and logical security of Datacenters hosting critical business information for L&T.

3.2 Professional Experience

3.2.1 Minimum 5+ years of experience in an Enterprise Datacenter setup with hands-on expertise in:

3.2.2 Routing and Switching (Cisco preferred).

3.2.3 Managing Cisco ACI environments.

3.2.4 Firewalls and Load Balancers.

3.2.5 ISP relationship management and governance.

3.3 Technical Skills

3.3.1 Strong knowledge of Cisco ACI, Routing, Switching, and Wi-Fi technologies.

3.3.2 Familiarity with ITIL and ISO 27001 standards is mandatory.

3.3.3 Exposure to security audits and ISO compliance processes.

3.3.4 Knowledge of Virtualization, Active Directory, Databases, and Azure is an added advantage.

Certifications

3.4.1 Certifications in Networking and Datacenter technologies are highly preferred (e.g., CCNP, CCIE, Cisco ACI Specialist, VMware VCP, etc.).

3.5 Soft Skills

3.5.1 Strong leadership and team management skills.

3.5.2 Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work with cross-functional teams.

3.5.3 Analytical mindset with a focus on problem-solving and innovation.

3.5.4 Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
