Knorr-Bremse India Private Limited is a 100% subsidiary of Knorr-Bremse AG Germany which is more than 110 years old Company and world's leading manufacturer of braking systems for Rail and Commercial vehicles. Knorr-Bremse started its operation in India in 1993 and relocated to Palwal location in 2013, which is set up to cater to the growing demand in the Indian market.

Knorr-Bremse has built a state of the art manufacturing facility spread over 17 Acres of land situated at 51/4 KM stone at main Mathura Road near Palwal. With optimized plant logistics and an improved working environment for employees, the new facility was built with an eye on maintaining the ecological balance. The plant conforms to Green building norms with energy-efficient air-conditioning and a high level of insulation. MATLAB Senior Engineer – Job Description

Role Purpose

The Senior MATLAB Engineer works with technical leads to develop model-based software for safety-critical rail and energy-related products. The role involves creating MATLAB/Simulink models, software architectures, generated code, validation activities, and supporting system integration.

Key Responsibilities

Develop software using the MATLAB/Simulink model-based design approach .
Create and maintain software requirements and software architecture artifacts.
Design software functions and generate embedded code from Simulink models.
Execute software verification and validation activities.
Perform software design reviews and document results.
Support system integration and troubleshooting activities.
Manage engineering change requests and implementation activities.
Prepare technical documentation according to internal processes and railway standards.
Contribute to process improvements and technical problem solving.
Collaborate with global engineering teams.

Required Technical Skills

5+ years of experience in Model-Based Development (MBD) .
Strong expertise in MATLAB, Simulink, and Embedded Software Development .
Software architecture knowledge at controller and function level.
Experience with software testing, unit testing, and automated testing.
Knowledge of code reviews and software quality processes.
Understanding of functional safety concepts.
Experience with communication protocols such as CAN and Ethernet .
Familiarity with JIRA , Office 365, and PLM/release-management tools.
Experience in railway, automotive, or industrial embedded systems.
Knowledge of Agile practices such as Scrum.

Education

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Computer Science, Embedded Systems, or related engineering discipline.
