Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership to a team, coordinate design-related work packages, and actively support the Platform Manager.

Ensure work quality through the review and approval of product changes, as well as the preparation and facilitation of design reviews.

Ensure high product quality through close collaboration and effective communication with manufacturing, while providing timely support in resolving production issues.

Analyze, evaluate, and structure complex technical and organizational matters, and develop and implement robust solution strategies.

Lead, organize, and execute projects while continuously improving processes to enhance product quality, reduce material costs, and increase overall efficiency.

Ensure effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders within the framework of Continuous Product Improvement (CPI), Assurance of Supply (AOS), and New Product Introduction (NPI).

Qualifications

Successfully completed university degree in Mechanical Engineering or a comparable engineering discipline.

Several years of experience in the development of internal combustion engines, mechanical components, or mechanical systems.

Strong knowledge of CAD and PLM systems, engineering standards (e.g., ISO, DIN), materials, manufacturing processes, and joining technologies.

Experience with development tools and systems used for Mannheim products, including Siemens NX, Teamcenter, and SAP R/3.

Excellent communication skills, strong analytical capabilities, entrepreneurial mindset, and a high level of customer orientation.

Strong process understanding, decision-making capability, and openness to innovative methods and concepts.

Self-motivated and structured working style with the ability to independently manage assigned tasks and technical projects through to successful completion.

Fluency in English (minimum level B2).

Basic German language skills (minimum level A2).
