About Position:

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Azure Data Engineer with strong expertise in Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Functions to design, develop, and support enterprise-scale data integration and cloud-native solutions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building scalable ETL/ELT frameworks, developing robust data pipelines, implementing cloud integration patterns, and ensuring high-performance, secure, and reliable data platforms on Microsoft Azure. This role requires deep technical expertise, architectural thinking, and the ability to lead complex data engineering initiatives.

What You'll Do:

Design, develop, deploy, and maintain enterprise-grade ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF).

Build scalable data integration solutions to ingest data from structured, semi-structured, cloud, and on-premises sources.

Develop and manage ADF pipelines, datasets, linked services, triggers, integration runtimes, and parameterized workflows.

Implement incremental loading, Change Data Capture (CDC), full-load processing, and data synchronization solutions.

Design reusable, scalable, and maintainable data integration frameworks.

Configure data orchestration, transformation workflows, dependency management, and error handling mechanisms.

Monitor ADF workflows and troubleshoot pipeline failures, performance bottlenecks, and operational issues.

Implement logging, auditing, monitoring, retry policies, and exception management frameworks.

Design and develop database solutions using Azure SQL Database.

Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, functions, and database objects.

Perform database performance tuning, indexing optimization, execution plan analysis, and query optimization.

Develop data validation, reconciliation, and quality control mechanisms for enterprise data platforms.

Build and maintain Azure Functions for serverless integrations, event-driven processing, and automation use cases.

Integrate Azure Functions with Azure Data Factory, Azure Storage, REST APIs, and other Azure services.

Develop and consume REST APIs for system integration and enterprise data exchange.

Support deployment automation, CI/CD pipelines, release management, and operational readiness initiatives.

Participate in architecture reviews, technical governance, and cloud modernization programs.

Mentor junior engineers and drive engineering best practices across delivery teams.

Expertise You'll Bring:

8?12 years of experience in Data Engineering, Azure Integration Development, and Enterprise Data Platforms.

Strong hands-on expertise in Azure Data Factory and large-scale data integration frameworks.

Extensive experience designing, developing, and supporting enterprise ETL/ELT solutions.

Deep knowledge of ADF architecture, orchestration patterns, datasets, linked services, triggers, parameterization, and integration runtimes.

Experience implementing CDC frameworks, incremental loading strategies, and high-volume data processing solutions.

Strong expertise in Azure SQL Database development, optimization, and administration.

Advanced SQL skills including stored procedures, functions, views, indexing strategies, query tuning, and execution plan analysis.

Experience handling large-scale enterprise data platforms and high-performance data processing workloads.

Strong understanding of relational databases, data modeling, and enterprise data architecture principles.

Good hands-on experience developing Azure Functions using C#, .NET, Python, or related technologies.

Experience implementing event-driven and serverless integration architectures.

Expertise integrating Azure Functions with Azure Data Factory, Azure Storage, and other Azure platform services.

Strong understanding of REST APIs, JSON, authentication mechanisms, and enterprise integration patterns.

Experience implementing monitoring, logging, troubleshooting, and operational support frameworks.

Hands-on experience with Azure Blob Storage and Azure Data Lake Storage.

Experience with Azure DevOps, Git, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment automation.

Knowledge of Azure security concepts including Managed Identity, RBAC, Key Vault, and secure cloud architecture.

Experience with Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and cloud observability solutions.

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to lead technical initiatives and mentor engineering teams.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
