We help our clients with accelerating their digital and AI journeys through: AI Application Development Data, Digital and Cloud acceleration using AI AI Native Product Engineering Location: India (Bangalore, Hyderabad/ Mumbai/ Gurugram) Positions: Manager/ Senior Manager Required Experience: 8+ years Role Summary: AuxoAI is seeking a Product Manager / Product Owner with deep, hands-on expertise in configuring and implementing payroll on SaaS HCM platforms (UKG Pro, Workday, Oracle HCM Cloud, SAP SuccessFactors, ADP, Dayforce). In this role, you will partner with HCM software vendors and their professional services teams to make customer onboarding faster, more accurate and less manual — bringing implementation know-how to our product and engineering teams and shaping the AI solutions that deliver it. This is a domain-first, client-facing role — ideal for a payroll solution or functional consultant from an HCM vendor, Big 4 / consulting practice or implementation partner who wants to apply that expertise to AI-powered products. The role centres on how payroll is configured and implemented, not on running payroll day to day. Responsibilities: Map current-state implementation and onboarding processes and identify where work is slowest, riskiest or most repetitive Design future-state processes with measurable gains in cycle time, accuracy and consultant effort, and build the business case Own the product vision, roadmap and backlog; write epics, user stories and acceptance criteria engineers can build and test against Prioritise AI use cases such as document extraction, requirements mapping, rules and gap validation, consultant copilots and test automation Act as the team’s authority on payroll and HCM configuration, and codify SME knowledge into business rules and validation logic Define what a correct result looks like, build gold-standard test cases, and review AI outputs for accuracy and compliance Design human-in-the-loop review steps and flag early when an approach would not hold up in a real implementation Lead client workshops, demos, sprint reviews and executive readouts; turn stakeholder needs into clear requirements Define success metrics, support pilot delivery, and shape the roadmap from pilot to scale Help engineers and colleagues get fluent in payroll concepts and terminology Requirements 8+ years in HR and payroll technology, including 5+ years configuring and implementing payroll on SaaS HCM platforms, with expertise in: o Company, legal entity and tax setup (federal, multi-state and local) o Pay groups and calendars, earnings and deductions o Data conversion, parallel testing, cutover and go-live At least two full-lifecycle payroll implementations as a solution consultant, functional consultant or implementation lead (HCM vendor, Big 4 / consulting firm or implementation partner) Strong command of US payroll and its terminology Experience writing requirements and acceptance criteria for engineering teams, as a product owner product manager or business analyst Working understanding of AI products and hands-on use of AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot), including: o Document extraction, LLMs and retrieval at a conceptual level o Evaluating AI output quality against a defined standard Ability to explain complex payroll setup clearly to people without a payroll background Implementation experience on more than one HCM platform is a plus Certifications are a plus: o UKG Pro, Workday Payroll, Oracle Global Payroll Cloud or SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll o Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) from PayrollOrg o CSPO or SAFe POPM Exposure to process improvement (value-stream mapping, Lean / Six Sigma) or global / multi-country payroll is a plus If you are interested, please reach out to careers@auxoai.com
