Facility set-up and administration
•Run the lease search and sign-off for the interim unit and the SEZ factory with brokers, landlords and legal: term sheet, fire NOC, electrical load, fit-out permissions, exit terms.
•Own the fit-out schedule with the Manufacturing Engineer: contractors, racking, partitions, test rooms, mezzanine, power, internet, water and sanitation, delivered on the plan dates.
•Run the plant day to day: security, housekeeping, canteen, transport, utilities, AMCs, consumables, visitor and vendor access, and the move from the interim unit to the SEZ factory.
Statutory compliance and licensing
•Obtain and maintain every registration the plant needs: GST additional place of business, Shops & Establishments, trade license, Factories Act license, KSPCB consent, fire NOC, BESCOM sanction, and the SEZ/EOU or MOOWR filings with the liaison and customs consultants.
•Own the statutory calendar: PF, ESI, professional tax, labour-welfare, contract-labour and factory returns, registers, inspections and renewals, with zero lapses.
•Set and enforce plant safety and security routines: battery charging and storage SOPs, lifting, PPE, fire drills, incident log and first-aid readiness.
Hiring and onboarding the plant team
•Hire the plant team to the needed-by dates on the org chart: technicians (mechanical, embedded, IQC), stores, QA, logistics and sourcing roles, through ITIs, diploma colleges, staffing agencies and referrals.
•Run the pipeline in Workable end to end: sourcing, screening, trade tests with the Plant Supervisor, offers, background checks and joining.
•Onboard every joiner with documentation, induction, safety briefing, uniforms and tools, and a 30-day check-in.
People operations
•Run monthly payroll inputs, attendance, shifts, leave and overtime for the plant with Finance; keep personnel files and HRMS records accurate.
•Handle contract-labour and agency compliance, grievances, discipline and exits with fairness and documentation.
•Build the plant's people rhythm: skill matrix, training records, retention actions for technicians, and the engagement that keeps a 19-person floor working as one team.
Costs, vendors and records
•Manage the plant admin budget, vendor contracts and purchase requests for admin and facilities spend; track actuals against the approved plan.
•Keep the plant's compliance and facility documentation audit-ready for customers, auditors, customs and SEZ authorities.
