Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAP EWM Manager to lead the design, implementation, optimization, and support of warehouse management solutions across our operations. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) , warehouse operations, inventory management, logistics execution, and supply chain transformation initiatives.

Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the Metals, Steel, Aluminum, Copper, Mining, and Heavy Manufacturing sectors , where large-scale inventory management, yard operations, bulk material handling, and end-to-end warehouse automation are key business requirements.

This role will be responsible for driving warehouse digitization initiatives, leading SAP EWM projects, managing support teams, and ensuring seamless integration across procurement, manufacturing, logistics, and distribution functions.

Key Responsibilities

SAP EWM Solution Leadership

Lead SAP EWM implementation, enhancement, upgrade, and support activities.
Own end-to-end warehouse management processes and system capabilities.
Define and execute the SAP EWM roadmap aligned with business objectives.
Collaborate with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Logistics, Procurement, and IT stakeholders.
Ensure high system availability, process compliance, and operational efficiency.

Warehouse Operations Management

Design and optimize warehouse processes including:

Inbound logistics
Outbound logistics
Internal warehouse movements
Inventory management
Staging and de-staging processes
Packing and handling operations
Physical inventory processes
Cross-docking operations
Value-added services
Returns management

Support warehouse operations across:

Raw material warehouses
Spare parts warehouses
Finished goods warehouses
Scrap and by-product storage locations
Manufacturing supply warehouses

Metals Industry Warehouse Support

Drive SAP EWM solutions supporting:

Steel coils, billets, slabs, and sheets
Aluminum products
Copper and zinc products
Ferro alloys and raw materials
Mining consumables
Refractories and maintenance spares
Heavy equipment spare parts
Scrap inventory management
Bulk material handling operations

Manage complex warehouse scenarios involving:

Large-volume inventory movements
Batch-managed inventory

Inventory Management & Control

Ensure inventory accuracy across all warehouse locations.
Improve inventory visibility and traceability.
Support cycle counting and annual physical inventory processes.
Manage stock transfers and material tracking.
Establish robust warehouse governance and controls.
Analyze inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.

Collaborate with technical teams to design interfaces and integrations.

Manage project timelines, budgets, risks, and deliverables.
Conduct fit-gap workshops and solution design sessions.
Coordinate testing, training, cutover, and hypercare activities.
Manage implementation partners and consulting vendors.
Ensure successful adoption of new processes and technologies.

Team Management

Lead and mentor SAP EWM consultants, analysts, and support personnel.
Develop internal warehouse and SAP capabilities.
Conduct knowledge transfer and user training programs.
Promote continuous improvement and innovation.

Required Qualifications

Education

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Information Technology, or related discipline.
MBA or Postgraduate qualification in Supply Chain Management preferred.

Experience

10+ years of SAP Supply Chain and Logistics experience.
Minimum 5+ years of hands-on SAP EWM experience.
At least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
Experience delivering multiple SAP EWM implementation projects.
Proven experience supporting large-scale warehouse operations.
