As an Intern - Application Engineering at GoKwik, you'll work on real production systems, contribute to products used by thousands of merchants, and learn from experienced engineers. What You'll Own

Build and enhance backend services using Node.js and NestJS.

Develop APIs and backend components that power GoKwik's products.

Work with databases such as PostgreSQL and MongoDB and gain exposure to Redis, Kafka, and AWS.

Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.

Debug issues and contribute to improving the reliability and performance of backend services.

Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and engineering problem-solving.

Take ownership of assigned tasks and progressively contribute to end-to-end features.

Learn and apply backend engineering best practices around scalability, performance, and system design.

Who You Are

Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and computer science fundamentals.

Comfortable programming in JavaScript and/or TypeScript.

Familiarity with databases and basic backend development concepts.

Strong interest in backend engineering and building scalable systems.

Curious, proactive, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.

Good problem-solving skills and a strong sense of ownership.

Prior experience with personal projects, coding competitions, or open-source contributions is a plus.
