Position Overview

We are seeking a Sales Executive to drive sales and business development for Hitachi Thermal Analysis Instruments , including Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC), Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA), and Dynamic Mechanical Analysis (DMA) in the Bangalore region .

The role focuses on expanding market presence, developing new business opportunities, managing customer relationships, and promoting thermal analysis solutions to customers in industrial, research, material science, chemical, polymer, pharmaceutical, and academic sectors.

Key Responsibilities

Handle sales and business development activities for Hitachi Thermal Analysis product lines, including DSC, TGA, and DMA, in the assigned territory.

Identify and develop new customers across pharmaceutical, chemical, polymer, materials science, manufacturing, R&D centers, and academic institutions.

Build and maintain strong relationships with scientists, researchers, laboratory managers, R&D professionals, and procurement teams.

Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable thermal analysis instruments for their applications.

Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and technical discussions in coordination with application specialists and the principal company.

Prepare quotations, commercial proposals, and regular follow-ups to close orders and achieve assigned sales targets.

Coordinate with application specialists, service engineers, and principals to address technical queries and meet customer requirements.

Maintain an updated sales pipeline, CRM records, customer database, and territory market intelligence.

Monitor competitor activities, identify market opportunities, and develop strategies to increase product penetration.

Participate in technical seminars, exhibitions, customer meetings, and marketing initiatives to promote Hitachi Thermal Analysis instruments.

Candidate Requirements

Experience: 3–4 years of experience in sales of scientific, analytical, laboratory, or industrial instruments.

Education: Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Chemical Engineering, or an M.Sc. in Physics or Chemistry.

Product Exposure: Experience in thermal analysis instruments such as DSC, TGA, and DMA, or material characterization equipment, will be preferred.

Industry Exposure: Experience handling industrial, pharmaceutical, chemical, polymer, materials testing, R&D, or research laboratory customers is preferred.

Location: Candidates based in Bangalore or familiar with the Bangalore market will be preferred.

Travel: Willingness to travel within the assigned territory for customer visits and business development activities.

Skills

Strong verbal and written communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

Good customer relationship management and business development abilities.

Ability to understand technical product requirements and recommend suitable solutions.

Proven ability to generate leads, develop new accounts, and achieve sales targets.

Strong planning, follow-up, and sales reporting skills.

Ability to identify new business opportunities and analyze market and competitor activities.

Proficiency in MS Office and sales reporting tools.

Ability to work independently and coordinate effectively with internal teams.
