Job Summary

The Corporate & Institutional Banking (CIB) Channels Technology team at Standard Chartered Bank builds and supports digital customer channels and integration platforms that power corporate banking experiences. This team owns key channel capabilities across customer data, onboarding, transaction processing, and partner ecosystem connectivity.

We are hiring a Developer with 3-4 years of experience to join the Straight2Bank Partnerships application team in Chennai. This is a critical role supporting a business-critical platform that processes corporate payments and collections through integrations with external partner banks, service providers, and Telcos.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will contribute to end-to-end software delivery in a fast-paced environment with multiple concurrent initiatives. You will be involved in technical design, Java-based development, integration implementation, production support, release activities, and close collaboration with testing and business stakeholders. You will work across at least two to three projects while helping ensure reliability, performance, and timely delivery of commitments.

The ideal candidate has hands-on Java development experience, strong problem-solving ability, and a collaborative mindset to work with cross-functional teams in delivering secure and scalable channel solutions for CIB clients.

Technology:

3-4 years of Software development experience
Good knowledge on the SDLC and object-oriented architectural concepts
Strong SQL knowledge to query data base and familiarity with Oracle DB concepts
Strong Knowledge and experience in Core Java17, Spring boot,API,Oracle hands on
Experience in building, deploying and maintaining web-based technology
Experience in Agile Methodology and Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment

Qualifications

Personal:

Bachelor’s degree in related field (Preferred)
Experience in working in intercultural teams
Excellent communications and interpersonal  skills, including facilitation techniques
A motivated individual with a great sense of responsibility
A work ethic of dependability through punctuality, flexibility, and adaptability to perform as an efficient, detail oriented team player
Holistic and incremental change skills
Ability to use an appropriate range of analysis and modelling techniques
