Job Summary

Responsible for contributing to the design, development, testing, and maintenance of backend applications, APIs, and AI-powered services within the Agentic AI Platform team. Works independently on assigned features and enhancements while collaborating with architects, senior engineers, product teams, and cross-functional stakeholders. Develops scalable, reliable, and maintainable backend services that power AI agents, intelligent workflows, enterprise integrations, and automation capabilities.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and maintain backend applications, APIs, and microservices.

Develop scalable backend services using Python/Scala/Java

Build and integrate REST APIs, Graph APIs, and event-driven backend services.

Develop services that support AI agents, orchestration workflows, and enterprise integrations.

Work with LLM APIs and AI services to build AI-powered applications and automation solutions.

Develop and maintain Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines and enterprise knowledge integrations.

Implement and optimize database queries, data models, and backend processing logic.

Collaborate with team members to build scalable cloud-native applications.

Implement logging, monitoring, tracing, and alerting for backend services and AI workflows.

Participate in code reviews and follow secure coding and engineering best practices.

Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application, integration, and production issues.

Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment activities.

Document technical designs, APIs, and implementation details.

Skills and Experience

2-5 years of software engineering or backend development experience.

Strong programming skills in Python/Scala/Java

Experience developing RESTful APIs, backend services, and microservice-based applications.

Experience with FastAPI, Spring Boot, Flask, or similar backend frameworks.

Knowledge of object-oriented design principles and software engineering fundamentals.

Experience working with PostgreSQL, MySQL, DynamoDB, MongoDB, or similar databases.

Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.

Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar CI/CD tools.

Understanding of distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and messaging platforms such as Kafka or SQS.

Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Exposure to Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), and AI-powered applications.

Experience integrating AI services such as Azure OpenAI, OpenAI APIs, Claude, Gemini, or similar platforms.

Familiarity with Agentic AI frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph

Understanding of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), vector databases, embeddings, and semantic search concepts.

Familiarity with prompt engineering, tool calling, function calling, and AI workflow orchestration concepts.

Understanding of AI observability, evaluation, monitoring, and responsible AI principles is a plus.
