About the Role

As a Business Development Expert, you will play an important role in enabling business development activities across APAX. Working closely with the regional commercial team and stakeholders across Swiss Re, you will support the development and progression of client opportunities, contribute to go-to-market activities, and help ensure our business development efforts are well coordinated and effectively executed.

The role provides broad exposure across the business development lifecycle, from client and market research through proposals, demonstrations and proof-of-concept activities, as well as ongoing opportunity management and regional go-to-market initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Support the execution of business development and go-to-market activities for L&H Solutions across APAX, working closely with the regional commercial team.

Maintain high-quality and up-to-date opportunity and pipeline information, including opportunity tracking, sales forecasts and management reporting, to support effective commercial planning and decision-making.

Coordinate the development of client proposals, RFP/RFI responses, business cases and sales presentations, working with relevant stakeholders to deliver high-quality and compelling client materials.

Support client engagement activities, including meeting preparation, coordination of agreed follow-ups and action tracking, to help maintain momentum across active opportunities.

Support the preparation and coordination of product demonstrations and proof-of-concept activities, working with relevant Solutions and technical teams as required.

Provide business development support across regional and multi-market client opportunities, coordinating activities across markets and stakeholders to support effective opportunity progression.

Conduct client, market and competitor research to generate relevant commercial insights, support client prioritization and identify potential business opportunities.

Collaborate with Marketing and Solutions Product Development teams on regional go-to-market initiatives, client outreach, campaigns, events, thought leadership and sales enablement activities.

Coordinate cross-functional workstreams with relevant stakeholders across Product, Technology, Implementation, Legal, Finance, Marketing and other functions to support the progression of business development opportunities.

Collaborate with stakeholders across Swiss Re's broader business on client and business development initiatives where L&H Solutions can add value.

Maintain strong knowledge of Swiss Re's L&H Solutions portfolio and capture relevant client and market feedback to support the continued development of our propositions and go-to-market approach.

About the Team

L&H Solutions combines Swiss Re's Life & Health risk expertise with technology, data and innovative solutions to help insurers address evolving business challenges.

The APAX Business Development team works across markets, clients and functions to develop new opportunities, grow existing relationships and bring Swiss Re's L&H Solutions capabilities to our clients. You will work in a highly collaborative regional environment with colleagues across Business Development, Product, Technology, Implementation, Marketing and the broader Swiss Re organization.

About You

You are commercially minded, proactive and highly organized, with strong communication and stakeholder management skills. You enjoy working in a fast-moving environment, are comfortable managing multiple priorities, and can independently drive defined workstreams through to completion.

You combine attention to detail with an understanding of the broader commercial objective and are comfortable working across teams, markets and seniority levels. You are curious, collaborative and motivated to develop a strong understanding of clients, markets and Swiss Re's L&H Solutions portfolio.

We are looking for candidates who have:

Relevant experience in business development, sales enablement, commercial support, financial services, technology or professional services.

Strong project coordination and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines.

Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to develop high-quality client-facing materials.

Strong analytical and research capabilities, with the ability to translate information into commercially relevant insights.

Confidence working in a cross-functional and regional environment.

Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills, with proficiency across the broader Microsoft Office suite.

Fluency in written and spoken English.

Additional experience that would be advantageous:

Experience in the Life & Health insurance, reinsurance, InsurTech or financial services sectors.

Experience supporting complex B2B sales or business development processes, including proposals, RFPs/RFIs, demonstrations or proof-of-concept activities.

Exposure to marketing, go-to-market or sales enablement activities.

Knowledge of insurance technology and the Life & Health risk management landscape.

Additional Asian language capabilities relevant to APAX markets.
