Key Responsibilities

Pursuits and proposals
Own research and storyline for AI-native proposals and executive POVs for energy, utilities and oil and gas clients, from first customer insight to final deck
Translate sector problems into AI use cases across asset performance and predictive maintenance, grid and network operations, field service, trading and commercial operations, HSE and compliance, supply chain and procurement, and customer operations, with a clear view of value, feasibility, data readiness and regulatory constraints
Build business cases: value pools, ROI logic, commercial model options and the assumptions behind them, including how regulated returns and capital cycles shape buying decisions
Partner with solution architects, presales and delivery leads in the US, Europe and India to make proposals credible and executable
Industry point of view and research
Develop and maintain POVs on where and how AI, including agentic AI, changes upstream, midstream, downstream, power generation, transmission and distribution, and utility operating models
Research target accounts: strategy, financials, asset base, regulatory environment, AI and data maturity, peer moves and likely buying triggers
Track the forces shaping the sector (energy transition, electrification, grid modernization, AI-driven power demand, regulation) and convert them into sharp positioning
Produce thought leadership in a voice that operations, strategy and technology leaders respect
Program management and scale
Run the operating rhythm of the AI-native solutions program for the sector: pipeline, pursuit status, owners, deadlines and risks
Build reusable assets: use-case libraries by manufacturing sub-sector, research playbooks, proposal frameworks and maturity assessments
Support go-to-market and sales enablement so account teams can carry the POV without you in the room
Report program progress and outcomes to leadership

Required Qualifications

MBA (or equivalent substantial experience in the required domains), with 2 to 6 years in strategy or operations consulting, industrial or technology consulting, corporate strategy, or product management. Exceptional final-year candidates with strong internships will be considered
A demonstrated, informed point of view on AI: you can explain where AI creates value, where it does not, and why, without relying on buzzwords
Strong structured thinking and fast, rigorous research skills; you can go from a blank page to a defensible answer on an unfamiliar company or industry in days
Excellent spoken and written communication and storytelling for senior executives, with comfort building decks and business cases
Comfort working across time zones with global teams

Strongly preferred

Exposure to oil and gas, power and utilities, renewables, or energy services, whether through consulting, an operator, or an energy-focused internship or project
Working knowledge of how the sector makes money and is regulated: asset lifecycles, regulated versus merchant economics, capex and opex cycles, HSE requirements
Hands-on familiarity with AI tools and workflows (prompting, agents, automation); engineering background is welcome but not required
Experience with proposals, pursuits or RFP responses at a consulting or services firm
A record of original work: published writing, case competition wins, or an analysis or product you built

What success looks like in the first 12 months

You own research and storyline for multiple concurrent industry pursuits with minimal rework
At least two industry POVs are published and in use by account and sales teams
A reusable industry use-case library and pursuit toolkit measurably cut time from request to first draft
Leadership relies on you for a clear view of industry pipeline and program status
