About the job

Amazon's operations network (Fulfilment Centres, Sort Centres, IXDs, Return Centres, Last Mile Stations, Quick Commerce hubs and Micro Fulfilment Centres) is the physical engine at the heart of Amazon. It moves billions of units of inventory, employs tens of thousands of people, and makes sure customers get what they want when promised. The Innovation Lab at BLR8 pilots and proves new automation solutions, such as Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs), automated packing equipment and internally developed tools, before they scale across this network.

The Innovation Lab is looking for a passionate, results-oriented Business Analyst who thrives in a fast-paced, data-driven environment. The selected candidate will build and maintain the data platform, tools and reporting that tell us whether each pilot is working. They will also dig into the data to find the root cause of defects and give the team the evidence it needs to decide which solutions scale. The BA will also support hands-on pilot execution on the floor when required.

Key job responsibilities

Build the data foundation for every trial: write the SQL queries and extracts that pull pilot data from operational systems
Design and maintain dashboards that show each trial's progress against its success criteria
Set up alerts and exception reports that flag when a trial metric moves off target, so the team can act the same day
Monitor the health of DWP jobs, dashboards and data sources, and keep them reliable (target: 100% availability)
Find and fix the root cause of data issues and trouble tickets (failed jobs, missing or mismatched data)
Define the data plan for each pilot (metrics, baseline, collection method) before the trial starts
Own the lab scorecard and daily pilot report, and prepare the data for weekly business reviews and leadership updates
Analyse dashboard and alert trends to find the root cause of defects and underperformance, and propose specific actions
Support site-readiness analysis when a solution moves to a new site
Run pilots on the floor to the agreed test plan
Collect physical data (time studies, downtime and fault logs) and keep the issue log up to date
Follow and enforce pilot-area safety controls, including pre-trial checks for automation zones

1+ years of capacity planning, operations planning, business analysis or similar experience
