ROLE SUMMARY
We are seeking a Senior Director – Financial Systems for American Campus Communities (ACC), a Blackstone Real Estate portfolio company and the largest owner, manager and developer of high-quality student housing communities in the United States. This role is based in Bengaluru, India and is hired through Revantage India.
The Senior Director – Financial Systems serves as Finance’s product owner for Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP and Oracle Cloud EPM, with responsibility for translating Finance and Accounting priorities into scalable system capabilities, standardized processes and well-controlled solutions. The role partners closely with Finance, Accounting, FP&A and IT to establish the platform roadmap, govern functional design and investment priorities, and strengthen the systems and processes supporting close, planning, reporting and decision support.
Primary Role – Oracle Fusion ERP and Oracle EPM Product Ownership
•Own the functional product vision, roadmap and prioritized backlog for Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP and Oracle Cloud EPM, aligning investments to Finance strategy and measurable business outcomes.
•Lead Finance’s role in implementation and enhancement programs from business case and process design through requirements, testing, cutover, stabilization and benefits realization.
•Serve as the senior Finance functional leader for Oracle Fusion Financials, including General Ledger, Payables, Receivables, Cash Management, Fixed Assets, Expenses, Intercompany, Tax, Subledger Accounting and financial reporting, and guide connected Procurement and Project Management scope as applicable.
•Lead product ownership for Oracle EPM across planning, consolidation, close, account reconciliation, enterprise data management and management reporting, enabling an integrated and scalable plan-to-report process.
•Establish governance for demand intake, prioritization, change control, release planning and executive decisions; communicate trade-offs, risks and realized value to senior stakeholders.
•Partner with IT to define Finance requirements for integrations and data flows across Fusion ERP, EPM and adjacent applications, establish reconciliation and control standards, and ensure timely resolution and escalation of material issues.
•Establish and maintain master data governance across ERP and EPM, including clear ownership, standards, stewardship and approval processes in partnership with key business stakeholders.
•Maintain a strong financial systems control environment, including role-based access, segregation of duties, workflow approvals, change management, audit evidence and SOX compliance.
•Lead Finance readiness and user adoption for Oracle quarterly releases and other platform changes, including impact assessment, testing, process documentation, training, communication and change management.
•Lead and develop the Financial Systems team, establishing clear performance expectations, building functional and technical capability, and ensuring appropriate capacity to support implementation and ongoing platform ownership.
•Manage Finance’s relationship with key implementation partners, consultants and technology vendors, ensuring alignment with functional priorities, delivery expectations and business outcomes.
•Drive continuous improvement across Finance processes and systems, identifying opportunities to standardize workflows, reduce manual effort, strengthen controls and improve reporting and decision support.

•QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS - Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, information systems, business administration or a related field is required; MBA, CPA, CA or other relevant advanced credential is preferred.
•12+ years of progressive financial systems, finance transformation, ERP/EPM product management or related consulting and industry experience.
•At least five years of leadership experience managing teams and large cross-functional business transformation initiatives.
•Deep functional experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP Financials and Oracle Cloud EPM, including core financial close, planning, consolidation, reconciliation and reporting processes.
•Demonstrated leadership of at least one full-cycle Oracle Fusion ERP and/or Oracle EPM implementation, major transformation or global rollout through post-production stabilization.
•Experience with fit-to-standard design, functional configuration, data conversion, integration coordination, testing, deployment, release management and change adoption.
•Strong understanding of internal controls, segregation of duties, SOX or comparable control environments, and audit requirements for cloud financial applications.
•Demonstrated ability to translate finance process requirements into system design and challenge unnecessary customization.
•Ability to balance strategic product leadership with disciplined execution, resolve complex cross-functional issues and make sound, timely decisions.
•Exceptional stakeholder management, communication and executive presentation skills; real estate, asset-intensive, multi-entity or highly regulated industry experience is preferred.
•Work from the Bengaluru office under the hybrid working model, with working hours aligned to provide meaningful daily overlap with US business hours; flexibility is expected during system implementations, quarter-end and year-end close, major releases and other peak periods.
•Partner with US-based leadership and Revantage India on staffing, hiring, performance management and organizational development to ensure the Financial Systems team has the appropriate capacity and capabilities to support the business.
