Associate III - Data Engineering

Job Title: Data Engineer Location Pune, India (Hybrid) Experience 3–5 Years Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Data Engineer with experience in SQL, Data Analytics, Azure Data Factory (ADF), MongoDB/NoSQL databases, and Data Lake technologies. The candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining data pipelines, supporting analytics and reporting requirements, and ensuring reliable data integration across multiple systems. This role offers an opportunity to work on modern Azure data platforms and enterprise data initiatives. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory. Write and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects for data processing and reporting. Support data ingestion and integration from relational and NoSQL data sources. Work with Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS) for storing and managing structured and semi-structured data. Assist in data transformation, cleansing, and validation activities. Collaborate with data analysts, business users, and engineering teams to understand data requirements. Monitor data pipelines and troubleshoot data-related issues. Support data quality and data governance processes. Participate in database and data warehouse development activities. Prepare technical documentation for data pipelines and data flows. Required Skills and Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. 3–5 years of experience in data engineering, data integration, or a related role. Hands-on experience with SQL and relational databases. Experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF) for data integration and orchestration. Experience working with Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS) or similar data lake technologies. Experience with at least one NoSQL database, preferably MongoDB. Basic understanding of data analytics and reporting concepts. Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes. Exposure to Azure services such as Azure SQL Database, Azure Blob Storage, or Azure Synapse Analytics is an added advantage. Good analytical and problem-solving skills. Effective communication and teamwork skills. Preferred Skills Exposure to Power BI or other BI tools. Knowledge of Python or PySpark for data processing is a plus. Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies. Azure data engineering certification is desirable.
