Job Purpose:

The Assistant Centre Head supports the Centre Head in the overall management and smooth functioning of the preschool and daycare center. The role is responsible for assisting in academic delivery, admissions, parent relations, staff supervision, administration, compliance, and center operations while ensuring a safe, nurturing, and child-friendly environment. The Assistant Centre Head acts as the second-in-command and assumes responsibility for center operations in the absence of the Centre Head.

Key Responsibilities

Center Operations Management
Support the Centre Head in the day-to-day management of center operations.
Ensure smooth functioning of preschool and daycare activities.
Monitor implementation of organizational policies, procedures, and SOPs.
Assist in maintaining high operational standards across all areas of the center.
Ensure timely resolution of operational concerns.
Academic Support & Quality Assurance
Support implementation of the preschool curriculum and academic programs.
Monitor classroom activities to ensure adherence to academic standards.
Assist teachers in lesson planning, classroom management, and activity execution.
Conduct classroom observations and provide constructive feedback.
Ensure age-appropriate learning experiences for children.
Admissions & Parent Engagement
Support admissions activities and achievement of enrollment targets.
Conduct center tours and counselling sessions for prospective parents.
Assist in lead follow-up and admissions conversion activities.
Build and maintain positive relationships with parents.
Address parent queries, concerns, and feedback in a timely and professional manner.
Staff Supervision & Team Management
Support supervision of teaching, daycare, and support staff.
Assist in monitoring staff attendance, punctuality, and performance.
Guide and motivate team members to achieve organizational objectives.
Support onboarding and orientation of new employees.
Foster a positive, collaborative, and child-centric work culture.
Child Safety & Well-being
Ensure implementation of child safety and safeguarding policies.
Monitor compliance with health, hygiene, and safety standards.
Ensure children are supervised appropriately at all times.
Address incidents and emergencies promptly and professionally.
Support the creation of a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment.
Parent Communication & Relationship Management
Maintain regular communication with parents regarding children's progress and well-being.
Support parent meetings, orientation programs, and engagement activities.
Handle routine parent concerns and escalate critical issues when necessary.
Promote parent satisfaction and retention initiatives.
Build trust and strengthen relationships with families.
Event Planning & Execution
Coordinate center celebrations, annual events, parent engagement programs, and special activities.
Support planning and execution of admission drives and promotional events.
Ensure smooth conduct of center-level activities and programs.
Encourage staff participation in events and initiatives.
Administration & Documentation
Assist in maintaining center records and documentation.
Ensure proper maintenance of student files, attendance records, and operational documents.
Support compliance with documentation requirements and audits.
Prepare reports and updates as required by management.
Infrastructure & Facility Monitoring
Ensure classrooms, daycare rooms, and common areas are clean, safe, and well-maintained.
Coordinate with Admin and Maintenance teams regarding facility requirements.
Monitor availability of educational materials, supplies, and resources.
Report maintenance issues and follow up on resolution.
Compliance & Quality Standards
Ensure compliance with organizational policies and operational guidelines.
Support implementation of child protection and safeguarding standards.
Assist during audits, inspections, and management reviews.
Ensure adherence to quality standards established by Kidzonia.
Financial & Resource Support
Assist in monitoring center expenses and resource utilization.
Support collection follow-ups and administrative processes where applicable.
Ensure efficient utilization of center resources and materials.
Assist the Centre Head in achieving operational and business objectives.
Leadership & Center Representation
Act as the point of contact in the absence of the Centre Head.
Represent the center professionally during parent interactions and center activities.
Support implementation of organizational initiatives and projects.
Demonstrate leadership and accountability in all center operations.
Culture & Values Ambassador
Promote Kidzonia's values of care, creativity, respect, safety, and professionalism.
Ensure all staff maintain a child-centric and parent-friendly approach.
Support initiatives that enhance parent trust, child development, and center reputation.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Education, Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Psychology, Management, or related field.
Postgraduate qualification in Education or Management will be an added advantage.
ECCE, Montessori, NTT, or equivalent certification preferred.

Experience

3–6 years of experience in a Preschool, School, Daycare, or Educational Institution.
Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a supervisory, academic coordination, or leadership role preferred.
Experience in admissions, parent management, and team handling will be an advantage.
