Job Description ? Data Architect

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Data Architect (12?18+ years) to lead the architecture and design of an enterprise-scale data platform supporting a field data collection ecosystem. The platform consists of Android and Web applications with offline synchronization capabilities, a centralized Data Platform, analytics and reporting, and an ongoing migration from OutSystems to a modern technology stack.

The ideal candidate will define the end-to-end data architecture, provide technical solutions, establish architecture standards, and ensure scalability, security, reliability, and performance across the entire ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

Design and own the end-to-end data architecture across Mobile, Web, Data Platform, and Analytics.

Architect scalable data ingestion, ETL/ELT, streaming, and batch data pipelines.

Design robust offline synchronization, data consistency, conflict resolution, and data reconciliation mechanisms for Android applications.

Define enterprise data models, data governance, metadata management, and data quality standards.

Lead the data migration strategy from OutSystems, including data mapping, validation, reconciliation, and cutover planning.

Design event-driven architecture using Apache Kafka for reliable and scalable data integration.

Optimize PostgreSQL databases for performance, indexing, partitioning, replication, backup, and high availability.

Define secure data architecture using Keycloak, OAuth2/OIDC, RBAC, encryption, and audit mechanisms.

Collaborate with Infrastructure and DevOps teams on on-premises deployment architecture, Kubernetes, containerization, CI/CD, monitoring, logging, backup, disaster recovery, and capacity planning.

Enable reliable, high-quality data for analytics, dashboards, and enterprise reporting.

Review solution designs, establish architecture standards, mentor engineering teams, and provide technical leadership.

Required Technical Skills

Programming: Python, SQL

Databases: PostgreSQL (Data Modeling, Performance Tuning, Replication, High Availability)

Streaming: Apache Kafka, Event-Driven Architecture

Data Engineering: ETL/ELT, Data Pipelines, Batch & Streaming Processing

Security: Keycloak, OAuth2, OpenID Connect (OIDC), JWT, RBAC

Infrastructure: Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, On-Premises Infrastructure, CI/CD, Monitoring & Logging

Architecture: Enterprise Data Architecture, Microservices, Distributed Systems, REST APIs
